One of the main attractions of Cobre Las Cruces is its location in pleasant surroundings, with several small towns less than 10 kilometres away and just 18 kilometres from the world-famous city of Seville. It could even be called a semi-urban mine. Most of our employees live less than 20 minutes from site. The nearby villages, of markedly rural character, have encountered in CLC an impetus for their economic development.
Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is known for its history going back thousands of years, for the friendliness of its residents and a bright, vibrant lifestyle. It enjoys a pleasant climate and, among its attractions, hosts some of the most remarkable cultural and popular events in the world, such as the April Fair and Holy Week. The city is located on the banks of the Guadalquivir River and is less than two hours from beautiful beaches of white sand and temperate water. Numerous transport options make for easy communication with the rest of Spain – Madrid is two and a half hours away by train – and its airport offers a wide range of international destinations.
Mining activity coexists with industrial activity in Cobre Las Cruces, fostering a working climate where numerous tasks and specialities coincide, enriching human relationships and learning through knowledge about the work done by very different departments.
