Operations at Pyhäsalmi
Pyhäsalmi is an underground copper and zinc mine located in the lakelands of central Finland. It is the deepest metal mine in Europe.
It produces three types of concentrates: copper, zinc and pyrite. Copper and zinc concentrates are sold under long-term contracts to smelters in Finland. Pyrite is sold under contract to several customers in Europe and Asia as well as in the spot market.
The mine is expected to operate until at least 2019.
